Interactive - Word Generators 1 - 100
1st One Hundred Words - SMARTBOARD NOTEBOOK
This is the first set of '100 MOST FREQUENTLY USED SIGHT WORDS' word generators. The second and third sets are also available in my shop. This first set is of the sight words 1 to 100. These most commonly used words are ranked by frequency. The first 25 make up about one third of all printed material in English. The first 100 make up about one-half of all written material.
This is a fabulous INTERACTIVE literacy idea for lesson introductions, individual rotational groups, time fillers or for reading and vocabulary sessions. There are 10 word generators in this first set 1 - 100. Each word generator has 10 words hidden in a box, frog, globe or book. Children take turns to tap the box, frog, globe or book with their finger, which causes a word to come out of that picture. Each subsequent tap generates a new word. Children identify and read the individual words as they appear out of the picture which they tapped. Once children are able to identify the words on an individual generator, they then move onto the next set of 10 words on the next word generator.
The generators are designed to allow children to practise their words at school, and to enable them to move more quickly through the levels. The children absolutely love this interactive activity and can't wait to practise and move on to the next generator in the sequence. They will request to be allowed to 'play' this activity every day. A FUN, ENGAGING and INTERACTIVE learning experience.
