A customer said... "I have enjoyed this resource for supporting my students as they gain a deeper understanding of how numbers work using a hundred chart. Your resource is extremely effective. Thank you!"

{An intermediate version of this resource (grades 4 and 5) is also available at my TPT store!}

This set of 100 Riddle Cards will be useful for the 100th Day of School and all year! Each of the cards has a 3-clue riddle whose answer is a number from 1 to 100. The cards can be used in several ways:
* In whole group or small group lessons, they can be used for a game with the pocket chart or a 1-100 chart. (directions card included)
* In a small group or with partners, they can be used with a printable number grid activity (directions card and grid included)
* For independent work, they can be used with the included solve-and-color page.

In order to be successful with the riddle cards, your students should be familiar with odd/even, tens and ones, coins (pennies, nickels, dimes), and comparison signs for equalities and inequalities.

Is it possible to put the coin cards into Canadian coins?

Actually, there are no graphics of coins in this set, although there are mentions of the names of coins. I wasn't aware that this could cause a confusion for Canadian students. If it is a problem (e.g. differing values for penny, nickel, or dime), please leave another note here and I'd be glad to develop some alternate pages to address the issue.
Thanks for your interest and your question!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Subject Area:

I've been teaching for 26 years, with the majority of my experience being in first grade. I taught Reading Recovery for 5 years, and that experience has impacted every day of my teaching since! For the past 10 years, I've enjoyed teaching a first grade literacy intervention class. It has also been my privilege to present various workshops on literacy topics at the local, state, and national level. My goal is to ignite a passion for reading and writing in young learners.
