100th DAY OF SCHOOL: tech connection, higher order thinking skills, writing activities and more.
Celebrate 100th day of school by traveling back in time! What was life like 100 years ago?
This packet contains:
Portrait: Draw what you would look like if you lived 100 years ago. What type of clothes would you wear. What type of hair style did they wear. What type of glasses did they wear?
Graph: Would you prefer to live today or 100 years ago? Ask your classmates, collect the data, and graph the data.
Tech connection: Investigate the following topics on the computer: exploration, transportation, commerce, political events, world/national events, and interesting facts.
Higher order thinking skills: compare and contrast the difference of the two time periods with a venn diagram.
Writing: Fill out the "life for children" information sheet and then writing a creative story using information from the "life for children" information sheet.
Events: Print on card stock. This can either be used to introduce the tech connection assignment or to decorate a bulletin board.

My middle name should be adaptable, at least when it comes to my teaching career. Through the years, my husband's job has moved us from state to state. I've now had the privilege of teaching in three different state. I've taught in schools as small as 300 students and as large as 2,000 students, both public and private school, from a Title I school to schools where funds were readily available.
