This kit includes all of the materials you would need to implement the 100th Day of School Superhero Cape Project (well, except for the actual capes!). It has letters to parents, tips for both teachers and parents, labels to send home, reminder notices, planning pages for students, writing activities for students, a superhero ten frame to help students organize their project and more! This will be a 100th Day your students won't soon forget if you let them create and wear a cape just like a superhero at school! This project takes a new twist on an old project and your students will love sharing their capes the whole day as they walk around school with 100 objects on their back! Be sure to buy additional licenses so that your whole school can participate in the project together (or at least your whole grade level-each class could create different colored capes to represent their class).

Hi Krissy! I am very excited about this fun 100th Day activity! I am going to look for the tablecloths and get things ready. I will email my parents some of your tips (saving paper) and also mention that they should be on when they come in the door. This way the parents will have them on and we can admire them before taking them off for the rest of the day. I'll try to send you some pics!
* I did notice a couple of errors in your page to parents. Not sure where, but you might want to proofread again.

I love this idea. Nice to change things up a bit.
what size cloth did you use? The ones I bought I can only get 6 2x3 rectangles
No big deal, but I am just wondering if I have the size wrong.

oh gosh, i don't know what the size was (i've already cut mine up and thrown the packages away), but it was the typical rectangular size that you find at the dollar store. have fun with it! i can't wait to give my kids their packets tomorrow!

I LOVE IT!!!!!!I have been doing 100 day since 1985 and it is one of my favorite days of kindergarten. TThis project looks fabulous! I do have a question though. I am concerned about things falling off of the capes all day long. It isn't easy to stick things on plastic. What did you use to stick your letters to the plastic? I know how flimsy those tablecloths are. Also, was it a bit bulky around your little babe's neck? Do you think he could wear it all day? I love the idea but want to be sure it wouldn't end up being frustrating tor the kidlets.

I will probably only have them wear them for a section of the day (probably the beginning because they will be so excited!) and play it from there. In the kit, I have teacher and family tip sheets and on the family tip one it actually says that they need to keep in mind that their child will be wearing it, so they need to affix things that aren't too big/bulky and that wouldn't be too uncomfortable sitting on or against in a chair (something along those lines). There are also several suggestions of items that will can be used to create 100 items on their cape on the tip sheet. I am really excited and hope it goes off without a hitch! Thanks for expressing an interest!
