This powerpoint was designed to engage students as they read the familiar rhyme, "One, two, buckle my shoe." Research states students who are familiar with nursery rhymes have an advantage with literacy. This power point is effective as a shared reading in a whole group, or individually or in small groups. Also created by me, and listed on this site, are the identical images and words used in this power point for a pocket chart. The pocket chart activity makes an excellent literacy extension activity to this power point.
