This kit has three documents for teaching 15 common figures of speech: onomatopoeia, personification, alliteration, symbolism, paradox, hyperbole, simile, metaphor, allusion, imagery, idiom, oxymoron, euphemism, cliche, and pun.
(1) It has a PowerPoint with a slide for each figure of speech, including definition and examples.
(2) It has a worksheet for students to fill out while you talk through the PowerPoint, which can then become a notes sheet to study from.
(3) It also has a multiple choice quiz with key over the 15 terms and definitions. You could increase the rigor of this quiz by requiring an original example for each term on the back side.

This is my fourth year as a teacher, and I am currently teaching junior high English. I enjoy aligning the curriculum I teach with state standards as well as designing it to be visually appealing to students. I hope you can enjoy a few of the things I've created!
