This Jeopardy! reviews the 1840s decade, the Mexican War, the various boundary disputes, treaties, and the question of slavery in the territories.
All my Jeopardy! games review the essential concepts (people, events, cause/effect, PERMS) of the major units of study for U.S. survey courses (APUSH, Dual Credit, HIST 1301/1302). These Jeopardy! review games are usable with any survey textbook. Titles indicate the unit of study, making correlation to your survey textbook easy.
In group settings, I project on a widescreen and divide the class into teams, each with a red, white, or blue tap light. A student volunteers to be "Alex" or "Alexis."
Use your imagination to enhance friendly team competiveness--keep running totals for teams, celebrate team success with small rewards or coupons.
My Jeopardy! reviews will help APUSH teachers prepare their students for the May exam.
