Teaching Goldstein's book can be very tedious for the teacher and for the students. This assignment helps to better organize the concepts presented in the book. It is 7 pages and includes a chart that compares the Superstates and asks questions about the philosphy "War is Peace." There is a separate chart that asks questions about the heirarchial society. Following this chart are words to be defined. A doublthink definition web explores that concept. Students are provided with scientist cartoons and are required to explain science in 1984. There are three reflective questions pertaining to the control of the masses and the end is a pyramid on which to place the classes of the society. The layout is very nice and easy to follow. The graphics are appealing. A diversified activity that all students could excel with. Thank your for your consideration.
This is fantastic. My students are already getting sick to death of the standard study guide questions and this is a great way to mix it up.

No, I'm sorry there is no key. I had done the books so many times I didn't need to even refer to it. The assignment is designed in such a way that the kids don't have difficulty arriving at the correct responses. Thank you for looking. Lori
