This .zip folder contains over 9 megs of handouts, assignments, quizzes, activities, literary criticism, et al. for George Orwell's 1984. As an added bonus, the file contains the list of great essay ideas for the novel that I'm currently selling separately--it's like getting it for free!
Please note that this product, like many of my others, is a compendium of resources, not a road map; there are no explicit directions on how to use the materials--there's just lots of materials for you to use, adapt, and deconstruct for your own classroom. You will see that I do, in fact, have a unit plan, but due to time constraints and the fact that I was working with a gifted class, the unit was more student-directed than you may be comfortable with (not to worry, there's plenty of things in here for a more traditional classroom). I will say, however, that my student-led jigsaw discussions were excellent.

There are really a ton of documents and resources, but they aren't organized in an easily accessible way (i.e., the document names aren't clearly labeled). I'm happy with the resource for the price, but I would have been thrilled if it were more organized.
