This is a one page interest survey for a middle school social studies classroom. The interest survey asks students about themselves, strengths, weaknesses, and plans for the future. The bottom of the handout asks students to come up with goals for the school year.

I typically give this interest survey the first day of school and keep it in my desk all year long. I find myself accessing these surveys often. On the last day of school I hand them back to the students, so they can enjoy seeing how much they've changed. I hope your students appreciate filling them out and receiving them back as much as mine do.

Take a look and download. Remember if you rate the product you get TpT credits. Thank you!

I saw your posting on the Forum page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. I am unsure of what products you should bundle, but I do have a few suggestions that might help you to better market your products.

Add some clipart to add color or just color some of your font. For some reason buyers like color on the original even though they may copy your product in black and white. Also, create a cover page for EVERY product (especially your freebies) which can then be used as an attractive thumbnail to entice buyers even if that resource is only one page long. You are competing with over 37,000 sellers so you want your products to stand out.

You might also add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page for the teacher. (How do use this? What? Why? Etc.) List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product.

Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Here is how you do that. Use the insert and go to the right. You should see symbols there. Insert the copyright symbol, your name and date. It should look something like this: © V. Rauch (Scipi), 2013 Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also number your pages.

Finally, make sure your free item represents your whole store and is unique enough to want buyers to check out your products. Ask yourself, "Is my freebie something most teachers can use? Is it high quality? Does it reflect my best?"

It is important that we see what others are doing; so, feel free to look at any or all of my freebies listed below to gather some ideas.

The best of luck as you sell on TPT!

Thank you Scipi-

I appreciate the time you took to reply to me. :)

My best free product is the Pirates of the Caribbean Questions. I think all of my products have a copyright symbol and all but two have a cover page (which I will fix-thank you).

Each of my products (but two) also have have a Notes to the Teacher page.

Thank you again for the time. I really appreciate it!

Erin :)
