This spelling supplement goes along with the Treasures 1st Grade Reading series by McGraw-Hill. This unit includes 4 pages for each week to use in the classroom or as spelling homework. PLEASE check your words with the following. There are different versions of Treasures. (Even though this would still be a beneficial supplement even though some of the words would not match.)
*Unit 1 Week 1: cat, hat, mat, ran, man, can, up, down
*Unit 1 Week 2: dad, sad, back, sack, nap, tap, man, mat, too, over
*Unit 1 Week 3: pin, win, hit, sit, kiss, miss, sad, map, be, ride

Hi Jodi,

I purchased this file in the summer and have absolutely loved them. I was just printing unit 5 and 6 when I noticed the download doesn't have any lines on it. For instance, anytime there is a fill in the blank, the line is missing or the pages where the kids have to sort the words under the correct heading all the lines are missing. I tried downloading it again, but it had the same problem. Any suggestions?

Have you contacted TpT customer service about this? They are usually really good about figuring out downloading issues. If not, please email me at Jodimastics@hotmail.com. Thanks

Hi Jodi,
I wanted to let you know that on page 79, sentences for Unit 3 Week 3, sentence number 9 does ot not fit the words. I believe the answer should be make but make is not a spelling word that week and it is not listed in the word bank.

Thank you. I'll fix it when I get a chance to get to my computer. I'm having a family emergency right now.

We use Treasures in our district, but I am in Texas. I think our words differ in a bit in the book. I would love to see just a bit more of one of the units to determine if they are the same words. We are working on unit 4 week 2. They are ee and ea words. The Story is Gram and Me. We just finished ai/ay, but we didnot have know, cute, great on our list. We had walked, eight, string, split, chain, day, mail,e tc

Hi! I have so many of your products and must say I LOVE them all!!! I'm so excited that our district just purchased Treasures for first grade! (Better late than never) I've been looking at lots of great resources on Pinterest and have realized that not all stories are the same, depending on which state you live. I would love to purchase the spelling supplement kit but want to make sure it's the same as the one I am using (NC). I started with Unit 4 since we are mid year and there are 6 units in the series. Our spelling words this week are long a - ai/ay (chain, mail, day, etc.) Please let me know if this is the same series! Thanks so much!!!!

Hi Jodi!

First, let me say how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this packet of wonderful information and activities! WOOHOO! We are on Unit 1, Week 3 with the short i sounds. On the word find, the words kiss and hit intersect and one of my kids noticed it made "s**t"...if you could have seen my face. I was trying to keep it all together, lol. Is there any chance you would redo that one page? If not, it's ok too. We didn't send them home, but were totally cracking up. We are not mad in the least, but had to do some fast talking, lol!
Just let me know! Thank you again for all of your wonderful ideas!

My district just purchased this reading series and I overzealously downloaded your spelling lists without checking. There are slight differences in the the spelling lists. Is there anyway I can edit the lists? Please help.

In the first grade treasures supplemental activities, I noticed today doing my curriculum planning that you go from Theme 6-4 to Theme 6-6, did Theme 6-5 get skipped or should 6-6 actually be 6-5?? THanks.

I teach Treasures but wondered what edition this was for. Can you provide me with the unit 5 and unit 6 story names? The more recent editions changed stories, words, etc. after unit 3. What you have created looks very kid friendly. Thanks for helping me figure out if I have the same Treasures edition.

I'm trying to remember them off the top of my head. I know we have Olivia, A Fruit is a Suitcase for Seeds, Little Bear Goes to the Moon, Cool Jobs. Does that help? I know that the Texas version is different and I am currently working on an update for that one. I also have one more that someone has emailed me that I am working on as well.

Jodi,
What state did you design this Treasures "kit" for? I am in Mississippi and have noticed that some of our stories/spelling words are different from other states. I am trying to see if your packet will match our Treasures series.

Hi Jodi ... this is an awesome resource!! I was wondering if you would be willing/interested in making some adjustments to align with the newest version of Treasures. Some of the skills have moved around, therefore the lists are not exactly same. Some are similar, with only a few words different, other lists are completely different. If you would be interested, I could email you all of the updated spelling lists. You could then sell the updated version for those who have the new Treasures curriculum. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you!

My school uses the National version of treasures. I have noticed in the past that there are some differences in the different versions. Do you know what version of Treasures you are using and the words are based off of?

I'm so excited to see this! I am curious, do you use all the worksheets that go along with the series also?? I'm struggling with the best way to teach everything and what to do each day. Any suggestions would be great.
My email is sarahmackey2@yahoo.com if that would be easier to respond.
Thanks.

I have in the past, but I feel like some of them just aren't very relevant. I will probably continue to use the actual spelling book in whole group instruction, but use this packet as homework or in a spelling station.
