This is a 5 day lesson plan. This introduces 2 step equations by spending 2-3 days with algebra tiles and then slowly introducing variables and solving equations. This powerpoint includes worksheets, sample problems and lesson plans for 5 days. You don't need algebra tiles for this. I have the students draw them out instead, so that on a test they can use algebra tiles if they need them.
