Keeping students engaged and motivated to both do their work and be respectful can be difficult.
This package of resources includes 20 strategies and suggestions for managing the behaviors of all students through building connections, doing the unexpected - offering ideas that you can try right away.
In addition 20 fun, hands-on activities are included to add spice to your lessons and enhance your curriculum. (Examples: Paper Airplane contest, Ramp Races - students have to build the best ramp to win a dinky car race, Mystery Student - encourages participation etc.)
This package would be perfect for the first of the year, but would be great whenever you'd like to try something different with your students.
The activities are varied and can be used as starters, for review, as community builders and incentives. They are fun and most have a hands-on component which is important in Grades 5-9, especially.
These activities encourage group work skills, time management, staying on task, and communication.
Necessary printables are included:
-Bulls-eye for the paper airplane contest and rules sheets for the card games

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I have been teaching for 6 years now. I currently teach Grade 7 Math, Social Studies, Language Arts, and Health but I have taught grades 3 to 9, multiple subjects. My passion is teaching Math, for sure. I love the challenges that middle school students bring to the room every day. It's a very special age to be a part of. They teach me so much.
