20 Quick Questions No 5 Improving pace of mental math calculations: Multiplying and dividing by 10 or 100

This is one of 20 interactive activities for the IWB where students are challenged with 20 mental math questions in quick succession.
Each activity has 20 question followed by the answers. There is also a free sheet that teachers may choose to issue to pupils for recording answers.

This is easily adapted and pupils derive a huge level of enjoyment from the challenge of this type of activity. I have used this with great success.
The slides are timed so all the teacher needs to do is press F5 and the activity runs itself.

I saw your posting on the Forum page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. I left you a rating. Well done! You wanted some feedback; so, here are a few suggestions that might help you to better market your products.

Add some clipart to add color or just color some of your font. (I add clipart, even on high school math tests.) For some reason buyers like color on the original even though they may copy your product in black and white. Also, create a a second page/slide which is a directions or suggestions page for the teacher. (How do use this? How much time do you give? Do you grade it? Etc.) List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product.

Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page/slide. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Here is how to do that. Use the insert and go to the right. You should see symbols there. Insert the copyright symbol, your name and date. It should look something like this: © V. Rauch (Scipi), 2011

Also number your pages/slides. Finally, unless you want your products revised (I do for my tests) save everything in a PDF format as it is harder to change.

It is important that we see what others are doing; so, feel free to look at any or all of my freebies listed below to gather some ideas. If you care to, a rating or any feedback you might have would be great.

I really appreciate your kind and thoughtful comments. I agree about the pdf - I've just posted another ppt but in the pdf format just because the file was too large but it makes perfect sense to post the 20 QQs in the same format as they are easily adapted. I'll also makes changes re. copyright, instructions and page numbers. And, of course, I'll have another wee look at your store (I am already a follower of yours). I'm honestly not too sure about clipart - just from a legal point of view really.
Many thanks for taking the time to share your wisdom. Every little bit of advice helps but this is a whole load of quality advice so it makes a huge difference!
Kind regards,
Gibb :-)
