Sometimes students need a little help getting started with the business of studying. This list of 20 quick pointers gives students a range of suggestions that may make a big difference in regards to their evaluation success. Tips include reminding students to write out formulas at the start of a test to not going to an exam with a growling stomach.

The tips are things teachers and parents sometimes take for granted and think that every student thinks about or knows about. If a student adopts even just a few strategic approaches they may see an improvement in their results.

The tip sheet can be handed out to students prior to a test or exam. The sheet can also be used at parent teacher meetings to help develop strategies for students who are struggling with poor evaluation results. In the classroom, teachers can take each point and elaborate on it in relation to their own course or subject area.

The tips are not subject specific and can be used with a wide range of learners. The tip on mnemonics, for example, can lead to creating memory methods that tie into areas of study and course material. To extend on this tip, students can write their own mnemonic for a segment of material as a self directed and individual way to review concepts for an upcoming test.

I saw your store on the home page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. I left you a rating. Well done!

Here are a few suggestions that might help you to better market this product. Create a cover page for each of your products which can then be used as an attractive thumbnail to entice buyers. You might also add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page for the teacher. (How do....? When....? Why...? Etc.) List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product.

Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also number your pages. Finally, unless you want your products revised (I do for my tests) save everything in a PDF format as it is harder to change. I would think this would be a product that buyers would like to revise in some way.

I’d love to have your input on one of my freebies listed below.

Check out the Sellers Forum under Communication on your dashboard page. There are tons of ideas and helpful suggestions given by TPT veterans. The best of luck as you sell on TPT!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Grades Taught:

I have been teaching business at the high school level for ten years. I also have two years of experience as an educational assistant where I had the opportunity to work with students with developmental and behavioral concerns. Prior to entering the field of education I worked in both the private and the public sector. The experiences that I have had have provided me with valuable insight into the relevant and real world skills that our students will need as they venture outside of the education system. Some sectors I have experience in include:  Real estate  Banking  Hospitality  Community services  Sales and marketing  Administration  Retail
