Keep your students informed about this year's all important Presidential election by having them complete this Venn diagram to compare and contrast the issues of the major Presidential candidates. This will help encourage students to stop, look, and listen to the news about the upcoming election. They should be encouraged to watch debates, conventions (summer), as well as read newspapers and watch the news in order to become informed citizens.

I have taught for 36 years at the 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade levels. Fifth grade is my first love. I teach all major subject areas. In addition to my regular classroom duties, I have taught in a Basic Skills summer school program for many years as well as taught workshops to co-workers in whole language and technology.
