This file contains 25 simple story starters for beginning writers.
The starters include a setting and a character to help your little writers get their story going. I encourage my students to write 2-3 middle events and an ending event to complete th story. A space is included for your students to create an illustration.
Copy them 2 sided and create a class book of stories OR copy them one sided, glue them together and display them on a bulletin board. They could also be used in a literacy center.
Have fun with your little authors!

My kids loved listening to, helping me create and then write their own story. Provides a complete unit on writing a story! Loved it! We then used the story starters for the kids to start stories.
