I purchased the 1st grade set through Cordley Elementary a few weeks ago when I thought I was going to be teaching 1st grade. Then I was told that I would be moving to second. So on my own I purchased the second grade set. Now, I just found out that I will be moving to Kindergarten (and staying there!). I would like to keep the 1st grade set since it was through a school order. If possible, I would like to return the 2nd grade set. If you end up making a Kindergarten set I would gladly take that instead. It is a wonderful set!

I am currently using your First Grade Common Core Morning Work as a summer skills review for my daughter. I am thinking of purchasing your Second Grade Morning Work, too, but then I saw that you have Second Grade Homework as well. Do both products cover the same skills? I was thinking of using the Morning Work as actual morning work and the Homework for her to do independently during afternoon quiet time. However, I don't want to overwhelm her with too much of the same thing or she'll lose interest. Do you think I should purchase one product over the other or both? Your guidance is much appreciated. I emailed you a sample of what we had been using. I purchased your unit on 2nd Grade Morning Work and 2nd Grade Homework. I love it and my teachers love it. My 1st grade teachers love it. I was wondering/hoping if you have pricing for a district level purchase. i.e. 54 2nd grade and 60 1st grade for all 4 sets. Just purchasing additional licenses, even though you discount 50% is just not in my budget. I really hope you do because this product is an amazing resource for the CCSS.

I would also like a key, only because I am not quite sure on occasion , while I am teaching this no less, what you are asking for. I am also learning your program as I go. For example: What is the phonics rule? Sometimes these are easy, but sometimes they are not. Yes, we could make our own keys, but we would like the author of the program to do it , so we could see your answers. Please do not think that we are silly. We are all new to the Common Core . It would be so helpful. Many of us do not teach the same curriculum and do not use the same skills with our kids. This will be resolved with Common Core. This is a great product. The key is the only thing missing from a 7 star product.

Of course we understand that a key is useful, but you have to realize that something like this would take me days and days to format. For myself I printed off an extra copy of the book and filled in the answers with pen because it was so much faster. If you're unsure about a question you can always email: sstorywindow@gmail.com. Even if I'm teaching (as I am most days) my sister can usually respond pretty quickly.
In regards to a digital version of a key, I'm opening the question up to you. In order to make it worth the hours and hours it would take to put it together, I would have to charge separately for it. Please let me know if you think it's worth $4 to have or not.

It follows my 2nd grade team's scope and sequence. Although I know that's not very helpful information, is it? Time is covered throughout the book because it's originally introduced in the first grade core. For the first half of the book the time questions are just review of first grade material. Then it moves onto quarter hour and eventually five minute. Money shows up a little earlier than that. All new information is covered by about page 120 so that the last pages can be a comprehensive review.

I am thinking about purchasing the morning work. I do not give weekly spelling list nor do I have a word wall posted. Is this something that shows up daily on your morning work? THanks!

Sisters Heidi and Emily work together to create educational resources from different parts of the country. Heidi teaches 2nd grade and has a masters in education. Emily formerly taught 2nd grade and currently stays home with her daughter. We are passionate about making education fun for little ones and teachers alike. We have always wanted to work together professionally and TpT allows us to collaborate even though we don't live near each other.
