This packet includes “I can” statements written in kid friendly language for ALL of the Common Core standards. These 2nd grade common core posters are unique due to the fact that the standards cards are two-sided: one side is the exact standard written and coded for your records, the other side is the same standard written in "kid-friendly" language so that your students will be able to understand. (NOTE: I've taken great care in trying to preserve the meaning of the standard when I changed it into terms that the students can understand. I kept most verbiage the same and used synonyms for more challenging words to help second graders understand!)

Love the product, but I wish the Sci. and S.S. standards were more separated for easier printing. The standards for our state are different so it was time consuming to remove.
It would be nice if there were two standards on each page, I felt like I threw away a LOT of paper. HOWEVER, even with these small issues it is a WONDERFUL product and worth every penny!! Thank you!!

There is actually no RL8. If you look at the Common Core website, it says that RL8 is not applicable to literature in 2nd grade therefore there is no standard.

•The Terms of Use of purchased clip art and fonts forbid me from sharing any non-pdf files.
•If the document was saved as a Word file, your computer might not have the same version of Word as mine, you would not have the purchased font installed on your computer, and the margins would most likely be off. So even if I was allowed to send it in Word form, it would look totally different than the original document.
I hope this makes sense! If there are simple changes that you would like made, please let me know and I may be able to change them for you (this will be determined by the time involved).

I was surfing this weekend and found your very adorable common core standards posters (kid friendly version). I noticed that you said you would adapt the social standards to the state that we teach in if we requested. I would love to have a copy of those based on Kansas standards. I teach 2nd grade in Haysville, Kansas.
