Over the years I have noticed my 2nd grade students struggling to master the second read reading skills in just one given week every couple of months. As a result, I determined that students CAN and WILL master the skills by allowing students more practice with one given skill at a time, for a longer period of time. Each skill will be taught for three to five weeks in consecutive order using the 2nd grade Open Court stories.
This is only part seven of my revised reading curriculum:
Unit 5, Lesson 1 through Unit 5, Lesson 3 will teach POINT OF VIEW.
