This 3-Day unit on dental health and hygiene is an excellent resource for teaching students how to take care of their teeth in a fun and engaging way. This cross-curricular unit (literacy, health, and science) incorporates a read aloud from Dr. Seuss' The Tooth Book, hands-on activities, and extension ideas. Included in this unit is a song which would be great for putting on chart paper as a Shared Reading activity. Step-by-step instructions are listed as well as a materials list. The 3 days are broken down as follows:
