PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Greek and Latin Roots. 30 Sets of Basic Word Stems from Latin and Greek Roots. Lists of Greek and Latin roots that will help your students understand the building blocks of the English language. Supports common core standards. The lists contain the stem, the meaning, and an example word. Make them into transparencies or show on the LCD on your whiteboard or smartboard, and have your students copy them and work with them weekly. We made flash cards, played games, and used them in writing. When we were ready, we would assess our learning by applying our knowledge to new words and trying to figure them out. I have tests prepared and available on TPT for the first ten lists. After the first list, each 10-word list will have two review words from a previous list. These Greek and Latin roots are good to know for test prep, too! Supports common core.
