These student data binders are an easy to implement student data tracking system.
With these binders, your students will monitor their own growth and progress, using standards based assessments (also found in my store), rate and date their learning using Marzano's Levels of Thinking/Understanding, and students will keep track of "I can" statements or learning targets as they progress through the Common Core Standards.
Included in this data tracking binder:
-"I can" statements checklist (written in kid language) that aligns to ALL 3rd Grade Math Common Core Standards
Example of "I can" statements include:
-I can explain why fractions are equivalent.
-I can explain why my comparison of fractions is accurate.
-"I can" statements data table with two sections for students to rate and date their learning, and a section to document their percentage/score on final assessment.
-Pre and Post-Assessment graphs with standards aligned and listed on graph for easy tracking (assessments sold separately)
-Marzano's Level of Understanding Student Rubrics and Posters

The beauty of these assessments are that you can assess quarterly with multiple assessments or at the end of every standard, or at the end of a whole unit on fractions. Hey there! I just purchased your data binder pack and am so excited to use this this fall! I just had a few quick questions: first, is there any way that the zebra could be changed to fit my classroom theme (it's rock & roll- lots of guitars, records, etc.) I know it's silly but I'm kind of weird about making everything flow :) Second, at the school I'm at we use highly proficient, proficient, etc. with the 0- 4 (as the report card grades are 1-4). Is there any way to also incorporate that to the posters? The language is mainly the same, I would just love to have the "highly proficient," "proficient," and so on added with! Thanks so much for your time! This binder pack is amazing!

Do you think this would be useful in Texas where our standards match the Common Core objectives, but may have different numbers/titles associated with the standards (which we call TEKS). We do use Envision math. I love the idea of having students color in their own progress and have tried to design my own. I just don't have time to make it look like I want it to!
