Help your students and their families understand the concepts of the Common Core Reading Standards with these discussion questions. For each Literature and Informational Text standard (1-9), there are four discussion questions to be used at home.
A copy of the standards, a glossary of key terms, and a sample letter to the parents/guardians explaining how to use the questions is also included. All materials are editable for you to add the special touches and knowledge of your classroom. A pdf version of the questions is also included in case of formatting issues with the ppt file.
The questions are a great addition to the common reading assignment of "read 20 minutes."
These questions are also great to use in classroom discussions and assessments.
