When I was in a long term sub position in 3rd grade, I made 2 worksheets to go with the story, "Johnny Appleseed." I made a wordsearch using words from the story. The children need to find the words in the story. They need to write down the page number where they found the word. There is also a Main Idea and Supporting Details worksheet to go with this story.
