This download includes 45 printable guided reading books focusing on basic sight words, predictable patterns (which get more challenging as the year goes on), vocabulary development, and topics/themes of interest. These books are great for beginning readers or ESL/ESOL students! Teachers can use these printable books in guided reading groups and then they can be placed in the student's book baskets for reading enjoyment throughout the year! I like using printable books because students can highlight sight words, focus letters, word endings, punctuation, etc. Additionally, students can take these books home at the end of the year! For only $9.99, these 45 books can be yours...that is less than $.25 per book!
The books are formatted to be copied double sided to save paper. Cut on dotted line, fold on solid line and staple.
Please note that this set of printable books is from my Shared Reading Using Refrigerator Stories collection, so please do not purchase both.
Please see my free download for sample books and table of contents.
Thank you so much for these books. I used them all throughout the year for some of my low kids. They really enjoyed them and felt good about themselves after because they could read it!

This has been one of the best resources that I use in my K-1 classroom. I have the students look for and highlight specific words after they read and color the book. They get so excited to find sight words inside the book. Thanks for this great product! If you do another at a slightly higher level, I would be the first to purchase.

I purchased your item, 45 printable booklets, but am wondering if you could redo one page that says I love my name for it puts a name in the heart and I was hoping each student could do their own on that page. Would you be willing to send it to me at jufrederick@seattleschools.org. Thanks, Julie
Hi Juju2,
I just saw this question today so I appologize about the delay. I cannot send the file because it would be in Word and because you do not have the fonts that I do, the allignment and layout would be all messed up. The best thing to do would be to white out the name on the master and let the kids write in their own name. Hope that helps. Thanks, Wendy

My books have SAMPLE written across all of them. Did I buy/download something incorrectly?
Please email me at: contactus@busyteacherprintables.com and we will get this sorted out. I have never had anyone with this problem so I have no idea why that happened. Sorry about that! Sincerely, Wendy

I did not see the poetry notebook and would love to. Are these questions in the wrong category?
