This packet contains definition cards and colorful clip art for 48 character traits/adjectives, a 50 slide powerpoint with each word, definition, and clip art on a slide, and a packet of 9 vocabulary/reading activities students can do with the set of words.
Many students lack the vocabulary necessary to be able to adequately describe characters. This packet includes character adjectives with definitions and pictures. Character trait definition cards and their supporting pictures are meant to scaffold students' responses to describing characters while also helping them internalize the words to increase their vocabulary. This word set can be used in guided reading lessons, small group, and even for students to have individual word learning packets. The powerpoint (for using with the smartboard) and activity packet are a bonus to give you a variety of ways of using the character trait cards.

Hi, thanks for your interest in my character trait sets. The main goal of these cards is vocabulary development and giving students access to easily learning and applying new words to the characters in their books. These cards should help with RL3.3, RL3.7, RL4.3, L4.3a, L4.5c, L4.6, RL5.3, L5.5c, L5.6. and fit nicely into readers' workshop lessons and the language components of the Common Core. Thanks!
