Do you teach math in Texas?

If you liked our 20 Days to TAKS Homework, then you will love our 20 Days to STAAR Homework!

Hand out our homework each day for 20 Days, right before the STAAR test. Each homework has ten questions on it and 7 of the questions cover Readiness Standards and 3 questions cover Supporting Standards.

Most of the questions are open response which will help you to determine whether or not the students really know the math. This also helps with the increased number of griddables on the new STAAR test.

At first the homework scores will be low since our problems are very rigorous and combine TEKS (just like STAAR), but over time you should see the homework scores increase. Ready! Set! Go!

We have also attached an answer key.

Where did you get the questions? Did you make them up, if so what did you use. Just asking because there is not much out there for STAAR.

Thanks

I am so sorry! I must have missed this question from you. When I created the questions I had the released items from the state in front of me. I analyzed how many steps per question they asked and I compared the supporting and readiness standards.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

As a teacher, I taught 7th grade math. After a few years, I began my own mathematics company for grades 6-8. After a few years, I began to branch out and now create materials for grades 3-11. I am now also teaching at the college level which has given me a unique perspective on 3rd Grade - College which I know will help me create even stronger products.
