We are using these 6 quizzes to give our student practice on the new Texas Readiness Standards. Each of the quizzes has one question from each of the readiness standards and a few questions from the supporting standards. The 1st quiz is ten questions, the 2nd and 3rd have 12 questions, and the last 3 have 15 questions.
Ten of the Questions include the following on all of the quizzes to give them the necessary practice with the questions asked in a variety of ways:
Decimals
Decimal Concrete Models
Multiplication - Single or Multi-step
Division -Single or Multi-step
Bar Graphs
Number lines - fractions, decimals, or whole numbers
Tables and Relationships
Perimeter/Area
2D or 3D Attributes
Transformations

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
My husband and I have a combined total of 26 years of experience in education. I have 15 years education experience ranging from 1st - 5th grade in all subject areas, but my love is creating math materials for elementary school. I have been a math facilitator for the past 5 years at a Title I school in Texas where I have learned the importance of assessing students at the level of rigor needed to increase student achievement. Writing assessments is my expertise. My husband has been teaching high school Algebra, Algebra II, and PreCal for the past 13 years helping to increase Algebra scores from 40% to 80% in some sub population groups. We love the opportunity to share what we have created to help students be more successful.
