Do you have parents/families request activities for their child to do over the winter break? Or do you want to make sure your students have something to keep their skills sharp? Then this is what you are looking for!

All of these activities will keep your little ones busy without simply being busy work. Some of the activities will require an adult's help and supervision (threading popcorn, making a peanut butter pine cone bird feeder, making a shopping list and going shopping), but many can be done independently with an adult's directive and check-in at the end (practicing writing your name, counting to 100, sorting objects).

You can request parents help students complete specific activities, a certain number of activities, or just send this home and hope that your students do not forget everything you've worked so hard to teach all fall! There are 50 activities that focus on math, reading, writing, and even life skills! (phone number, tying shoes, zipping coat, etc.)

This document is provided in both pdf and Word format so you can modify it to fit your needs!

Thanks for looking!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Subject Area:

I have PreK-6th grade experience. I started my teaching adventure by accident. My major was business and electronic commerce, but I started working part-time at a preschool during college. That job made me realize what I was truly meant to do! This fall I will begin teaching 6th grade. However, in the past I have taught Kindergarten, Reading Recovery, Title I math and reading, 5th grade inclusion special education, and a multi-grade classroom of ELL students. I was also the overseer of my first school's special education department. I also teach Asian students during the evenings, weekends, and summer. Using Skype and other online tools, I have taught students from age 6-20. It has been an interesting experience! http://www.eleutian.com/qualify/registers/welcome
