This 26 page pdf is a collection of 13 lapbook (3-D Graphic Organizer) templates to use with the 5th grade Common Core Reading Informational Standards. Each lapbook (3-D Graphic Organizer) comes with a handout that has the standard listed and how to use the lapbook.
Each lapbook also has a directions section to explain to the students how to use the lapbook.
The students do all the work! Just hand them a lapbook template and some scissors!
This would be a great way to have the students respond to their daily reading. This would also be a fun assignment for homework and can even be used as an assessment.
Check out my set of Common Core Lapbooks for Fiction also!
A few pages have errors...page 5 repeats on page 7, the historical fiction page has the word historical crossing over the cut line, and page 14 doesn't work because the print at the top will be upside down when you cut and fold. I will get some use out of this, but unfortunately, I already had some of these foldables. It wasn't expensive though, so I'll get my use out of it.
Thank you for your feedback! Pages 5 and 7 do not repeat. The foldable is the same, but the directions are different. Page 7 includes having the students write a summary. Also page 14 does work if you put the words face down and fold that way. I have used it and it works fine. The historical fiction does cross over slightly, however I don't have access to the the editable document any more to fix it. And it is a slight crossover and could still be used with no problems. Again, thank you for your detailed feedback.

Haven't used this yet, but am looking forward to sorting through it and seeing how I can pull things together.

It took me a while to figure out exactly how to assemble this, but after we got it straighted out it was perfect!
