TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I taught 4th grade for nine years and made the leap to teaching 6th & 7th grade language arts at our middle school this year. I was coached in the Comprehensive Literacy Model which has totally reshaped my teaching and my students' learning. The literacy model pushes me to grow every single day which means I'm exhausted every single day. :) Teaching is NOT an easy job. We need to work together! Literacy is SO important in our room; in fact, I doubt I'll ever post anything that DOESN'T have to do with literacy in some way. I hope you find some of my 'stuff' rejuvenates your teaching and helps to heighten what your kids are able to do. You'll also notice that in each of my product descriptions, I linked to a page on my classroom blog where I provide a narrative (with pictures) of my lessons and/or how many of my products are used in my own classroom. Hopefully the blog postings and pictures will help you get a better visual for how some of my products might fit into your classroom, and you can picture your own students doing what mine do!
