All Common Core Standards have been broken down into kid language for the "I can" and "We can" statements
In this over 500 page document:
2 complete sets for ALL of 6th grade math:
-1 set with black font and yellow polka dot frame
-1 set with black font and curly frame
Sample statements:
-I can determine the effect of outliers on quantitative measures of a set of data, e.g., mean, median, mode, range, interquartile range, mean absolute deviation.
-I can analyze the shape of the data distribution and the context in which the data were gathered to choose the appropriate measures of central tendency and variability and justify why this measure is appropriate in terms of the context.

Hi. I understand states went with one of 2 different companies developing the Common Core Standards. My question is: are the standards for MI developed by the same organization that CA went with?

Hi Kay- I think you are confused. The standards themselves were not created by 2 different companies. The standards were created by our government and groups of educators in our country. I think you are speaking about the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium and PARCC. These are two big companies working with the common core standards to create the assessments we teachers are required to give in our schools starting 2014-2015.
