In this packet you will find twenty different quotations, each with four writing prompts. I have included questions at a variety of levels. All involve some elements of critical thinking, and give students a chance to connect their own opinions and experiences to the given statements.
Quotations included from: Shakespeare, Poe, Helen Keller, and Aristotle among others.
For my classroom, I printed the pages out on card stock and cut each page in half, then laminated the cards. Once a week, I placed a card on each table and directed the students to all respond to prompt A, B, C, or D. The next week, I rotated the cards and chose a different letter prompt for students to respond to.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I taught for nine years in public schools, and also taught at the junior college level for one year. I have taught a variety of levels, from remedial reading to gifted. I am a history buff, so my students read a lot of primary sources in my class. I am currently working on my Ph.D. in literacy studies.
All science materials are written by my husband, a science teacher with ten years experience working with multiple grade levels. His classroom games series is a great way to integrate some fun and competition or collaboration into your science lessons.
