The multiple choice questions include asssesment of litetary terms for plot, setting, character types and characterization, narrator, voice, theme, genre, symbolism and allegory, and irony and ambiguity. The fill-in-the-blank section is a chart that represents each area of the Literary Response and Analysis Writing Rubric for the CAHSEE and an example student response. Students grade the example essay in each area (in lieu of another in-class writing response for YOU to grade). The CAHSEE rubric is NOT attached, but can be downloaded free of charge from the CAHSEE released test portion of their website. An adaptation, which I believe is more student-friendly, is available as my "free product" for a limited time. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Note, this is in Microsoft Word format for easy editing on your part. The file is in a zipped folder as it also contains the answer key as a seperate document.
