Dr. King was shot and killed when I was 16 years old. He has been a life-long hero to me and I always try to give my students a deep understanding of Dr. King's hopes, dreams, and use of words. The coming school year, I'm throwing a fantastic party for Dr. King and I'm going to use all your wonderful ideas! Thank you so much for creating something that is so close to my heart!

My kids loved this unit (but of course after doing the goody bags they expected them & parties for president's day also!)
I love this unit! It is the best MLK unit I've ever seen- my class adored the poem and the goodie bags so much! Thank you!

I purchased this to use with Kindergarten students, and the mini-reader was much too difficult. Was disappointed that over half of the packet was the cut-outs for the banner. Thought the goodie bag idea was very creative.
This got tucked away in my Wish List when you first put it out . . . so glad I "woke up" today and slammed it into my purchased file before it was too late. I absolutely love this packet. So unique, cute, and creative as all get out. Thank you for sharing your hard work!
