This project is an excellent way to build prior knowledge before reading Charles' Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol. There are 8 different topics for groups to choose from including the life of Charles Dickens, life in the Victorian Age, and Child Labor in the 1800's. The preview file is the rubric for this assignment. There are 11 pages total for this project. You will get the overview page, the 8 individual group topic pages and the rubric, which is two pages. I usually spend about one and a half weeks on this project. However, depending on your resources and time restraints, you can customize it to fit your time limits and schedule. This projects addresses NYS ELA Standards 1, 3, and 4.
