This is a Readers Theatre script based on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. The reading levels range from 1-3.5. This could be used with young children, older struggling readers, or with older readers to practice fluency. For example, I used this with my Jr. High 15-1-1 Reading class. Included in the script is a list of characters and the reading level for each role so you can accurately assign your students.

I used readers' theater with a group of students last year that I have again this year. I'm going to divide the class into 2 groups (so that there are parts for everyone) and let them "compete" to be the best group. What a great activity after we finish the adapted novel!
