This 68 page book features strawberry related math, literacy, science,and social studies activities. It is designed to be used with students in grades 1 through 3, although some activities are appropriate for younger or older students. The activities in this book can be used in conjunction with a trip to a strawberry farm or as a stand-alone unit on strawberries. The unit includes 58 pages of center activities, reproducibles, photo cards, and lessons that can be immediately used in the classroom, as well as 6 pages of tips and ideas. The activities cover all curricular areas, including math, language arts, science, and social studies. Answer keys are included. Skills covered include strawberry life cycles, map skills, reading/interpreting graphs, adjectives, addition/subtraction/counting skills, making words, following directions, reading a recipe, sequencing, reading comprehension, poetry, and others. In my opinion, the activities packet is full of useful information that is difficult to find any other place online. I looked for strawberry printables but could not find any until I searched this website. The worksheets are child-friendly and creative and the photographs / booklet is a great resource.

I have been a special education teacher since 1998. I currently teach a self-contained cross categorical class of 3rd through 5th graders. I have also taught k-6 resource classes and self-contained classes in the past. I currently teach in North Carolina, but I taught for 4 years in Texas.
