A Dozen Christmas Cookies...is a book written to the tune of the 12 Days of Christmas!
This book was a guilty pleasure---most definitely! It involves the happiest holiday of the year and the tradition of making/baking up a storm, then giving it all away [after a few test nibbles, of course]. So much fun to read and sing about the cookies; while also counting, one-to-one correspondence, ordinals, and recognizing numbers. Lots of repetition, high frequency words, and cool full-color visuals included.
This book is ready to use in full color, just print it out and enjoy! It can be laminated for durability and added to your class library. Or taught, sung, and performed in a Christmas play.
My students love reading it, singing it, and receiving the book as part of their winter break packet. Included are also brainstorming tools, thinking maps, and a cummalative counting cookies page. I stacked the preview pages with 4 pages on 1 picture, so that you could have a larger sampling of what's included.

I love teaching Kindergarten. People often say it's a "special" grade to teach, I guess that's why I especially love it. I have been blessed with a career in teaching for 15 years, with the latter 8 years teaching in Southern California. Most of my experience has been in Kindergarten...12 years.
