Heather,

How do you use your graph a day in the classroom? Thanks! Looks intriguing!

When I first made it I didn't have a SMARTboard. Now I have a SMARTboard but I don't have a homeroom class and don't teach math anymore. Go figure.

Anyhow, I would project it on my Smartboard if I were still using it but from there I would use it the same way I always did.

I opened the file on 1 computer and chose the tab for the worksheet that matched the day we were on. It holds 180 questions - one for each day of the school year. Then as students came in, they would go to the computer; read the question; view the answer choices already on the empty graph; click in the cell next to their name and type their choice.
Later in the year, I could print the graphs to make up math questions using our "real data".
It ends up saving time in class because we don't have to set aside any time to collect data during math class, as we have collected data all year long.
Let me know if you have more questions.
