This is an easily adapted writing project for any early years grade! There are two versions of the writing project: a non-fiction animal project and a blank version where you can choose the non-fiction topic!
Each version contains:
{1.} Brainstorm Bubble Map
{2.} Rough Copy Booklet
{3.} Good Copy Book (Cover, Table of Contents, Diagram Page, and 5 Writing Pages)
There are extra blank pages for the rough copy booklet and good copy book if you want to make your books longer.
There are also optional pages to customize your books: a dedication page, an all about the author page, and a back cover page.
The possibilities are endless!
Animal Project:
1. What Do They Look Like?
2. What Do They Eat?
3. Where Do They Live?
4. What Can They Do?
5. What Are the Babies Like?
6. Interesting Facts
I LOVE that you included the rough copy...and that it didn't include space for a drawing (my kids always spend so much time on their drawings and then they get upset when I tell them to start on their final drafts!)
This is far too oversimplified for fourth graders, but you did a great job with the organization of it. Maybe I can change some things to make it work for my 4th graders!

My students loved using this for their informational writing.
