Lesson Plan: A Whole Day of Holes Student Activities and Project (8-pages)
Reading Common Core Standards Met: 1, 2, 3, 4
I have developed many activities and projects for a "Whole Day of Holes" based on the book Holes by Louis Sachar. Students will be creating a 5 foot wide by 5 foot deep hole, will be going on a treasure hunt, will make a camp brochure advertising Camp Green Lake, and will do many more fun filled activities! This is an 8-page document that also includes the schedule for the day and a parent letter to send home for some materials needed for the project. It also has a supply list for all the fun activities planned! Your students will love this day!

I thought there was a lot of disconnect with the activities. Some need more explanation or materials to complete. While there were some good ideas, some of the activity suggestions were a bit weak or not thorough. It wasn't a complete waste, but I am frustrated enough to write this comment instead of finishing my lesson plans.
