The weekend update is a weekly writing activity that is done to show student growth. Use this to identify your student's strength and weaknesses. Students write and share about their weekend. There is a page for every month of the year. copy the page 4 times to have one for each week. I've also included an explanation as to how I've used this in the classroom and how to put the journal together. Your students will look forward to this assignment every week!
