Give your students an opportunity to understand terms and phrases important to Veteran's Day. This A-Z book is a great contextualized way to teach the Common Core reading and language standards of unknown words and phrases as well as concrete and abstract nouns, like glory, liberty and freedom. For each page, there is space to create a picture and student friendly definition for each letter of the alphabet. Finished books are 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, and require not cutting for assembly, just folding and stapling (directions included).

Could you give a little more info about how this version differs from the elementary version? This seems like something I'd like my 8th graders to try for extra credit, but I'm wondering if it is "grown up" enough visually and content-wise. Thank you!
Savina,
Great question! Since a 5th grade teacher asked me if it was appropriate for her 5th graders,so I went ahead and added the words for each page to my blog at www.helloliteracy.blogspot.com (today's post). I will add them to the product description today. I also added a middle school Thanksgiving A-Z book.
