Each year I have my students create a collage on the cover of a black and white composition notebook. They bring in pictures, ticket stubs, articles, brochures, magazine clippings, etc. that tell about them. We attach each to the cover of the notebook and seal it with Modge Podge. They look great and last all year long.
Such a special keepsake at the end of the year!!!
This FREE printable contains the letter I use to request families send in the needed items. I read the book, Judy Moody and this ties in nicely. However, since you may not be reading the book, I have also included a more generic version of the letter.

Over the years I have worked my way up from Preschool to Kindergarten to 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I've been in third grade for 6 years and simply adore teaching this age. My experiences have included inner-city and neighborhood schools in the suburbs. I've loved both for different reasons.
