Print your own academic calendar - August 2012 to August 2013.
This is a bit complex to print but it is worth the effort - I copy the print the full month first (in color). Then I print the weekly pages in black and white. I send them through the copier printing them back-to-back. Then I print the next month, then I take the weekly pages and print them back-to-back... you get it.
Monthly calendars are a roomy two pages. Weekly calendars are also two pages each. Both the monthly and the weekly calendars provide plenty of space to write. I recommend printing the pages back-to-back starting with page 2.
The two page monthly calendars are attractive and uncluttered. Each month is followed by weekly two page calendars that provide additional space for all the dates. Weekly calendars cover Monday through Friday and include a special area that can be used for Saturdays and Sundays or for reminder notes.
I carry my calendar to every meeting. I use the monthly calendar for pre-planning and important things I need to remember and use the weekly calendar area for notes from meetings I attend.
You would pay $20.00 for a monthly/weekly academic calendar in a big box store. However, you can get it for $3.00.
