This is a great program to use as an extra credit assignment. Students get to choose nominees they think will win the awards from the top five categories: Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Picture.
After the awards show is televised students who have selected at least three of the winners get some extra credit. In my classes I give 10 points extra credit towards the final points for the term. This encourages students to keep working because it helps to offset a quiz or assignment they might have fallen down on.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I taught English (grades 9 - 12) for 36 years in public schools. I have also taught basic computer courses for adults as part of our schools senior evening school program. In addition I was advisor to Student Government and election programs at our school and have been involved with establishing technology goals for our secondary school system.
