This file is a series of activities to help students learn to deal with the metaphorical language in The American Pageant. In my school, AP English Language and Composition students take AP US History as an A Day/B Day combination. I co-taught this lesson to our students to help them grasp the ways in which the authors of The American Pageant present content. These three activities are based on Chapter 11 of the textbook.
