Confused about the difference between accuracy and precision? Not sure how to demonstrate how different these two concepts are? This activity will not only help your kids understand these important scientific ideas, but also show them how to measure them quantitiatively!

This is a set of notes that goes over accuracy and precision and their importance to proper measurements. These notes explain what accuracy and precision are first, using the example of a bullseye, and then have the students quantify these concepts. Accuracy is measured with percent error, and precision is measured using error range. Both types of calculations include significant figures and units.
